I feel this concept greatly downplays the hardships experienced by generations of Christians who had become Christians because Christianity was weaponized for colonization and have brought cultures to cling tightly to faith in the face of abuse and aggression so much that it has seeped through culture and has become thoroughly indistinguishable from faith. We are forgotten as only a remnant of the wrong doings of Christianity and the faith that many of our people still cling to this day is treated as non-existent, only mentioned to fan the flames, as if that is its only purpose.
